Environmental Protection

       The Nanchou Plant adopted energy-saving equipment, sewage treatment, and other facilities during the construction. The waste was then cleared and transported by the waste collection and disposal company to reduce the negative impact on the environment. In addition, Oneness Biotech has established an energy-conservation and carbon-reduction team in 2020 to formulate supplier management policies and conduct statistical analysis on electricity consumption, greenhouse gas emissions, water consumption, waste production, and other statistics for review and improvement. We look forward to integrating green management and energy-conservation plans into our business operations to achieve sustainable environmental development.

        We have introduced the ISO 14001:2015 environmental management system in the third quarter of 2020, and received the certificate in the first quarter of 2021. We will continue to improve environmental management performance, and strive to minimize environmental impact.

Energy saving and carbon reduction

        In response to the government’s promotion of environmental protection and energy-saving policies, Oneness Biotech has implemented energy-saving and carbon-reduction measures with a view to improving the efficiency of energy utilization as well as controlling and reducing greenhouse gas emissions.

Energy conservation target
  • Use energy efficiently and reduce energy costs.
  • Power saving: 5,000 kWh/year, which is equivalent to 2,665 kg CO2e/kWh.
  • Under the replacement of power-saving lamps, the original electric lamps and T5 lamps were gradually replaced by LED lamps.
Energy conservation policy
  • Offices are required to turn off the lights during lunch breaks and turn off the lights and air-conditioners after getting off work.
  • Enforcing the energy conservation advocacy and all members engage in energy-saving activities to reduce unnecessary energy waste.
  • Energy-saving lamps and energy-saving equipment are adopted in the main passage areas while lighting is turned off in areas not in operation.
  • Regular air pollution inspections are carried out for greenhouse gas emissions to ensure that the emissions of air pollutants comply with the regulatory standards.



Water resources and wastewater management

       Oneness Biotech attaches great importance to water quality inspection and wastewater discharge management. The water intake of the laboratories, offices, and factories meets the standards prescribed by laws and regulations and has no significant ecological impact on water sources.
There are no production processes taking place in the Xinyi Office and Nangang Laboratory. As to Nanchou Plant, chemical sedimentation and wastewater treatment facility are adopted for the wastewater treatment. Other wastewater is directly discharged to the sewers according to law and has no significant impact on the ecological environment. At present, the Nanchou Plant is expected to acquire a permit license for water pollution prevention and control measures in November 2020 before it can officially discharge wastewater and outsource various monitoring projects to external parties.


Waste Management

       Waste management first focuses on waste reduction at the source, followed by recycling, and finally the outsourced waste collection and disposal. Outsourced waste collection and disposal takes compliance with laws and regulations as the most basic requirement. All wastes generated by Oneness Biotech are outsourced to legal and professional waste collection and disposal companies. Before outsourcing the waste collection and disposal, it is necessary to sort, collect, and store the waste within the factory. Next, proper and legal waste collection and disposal companies are entrusted with the removal and waste flow report in accordance with the waste property. Finally, the waste can be handed over to the waste treatment plants for proper disposal. At present, all wastes are processed domestically, and there are neither cross-border disposal problems nor waste leakage problems.
